My eye is drawn to stone. The more dry stone construction projects I undertake the more this craft captivates me. Trained as a mason, I was leery of leaving mortar behind to rely solely on gravity. I began with dry stone projects that kept me close to the ground. My initial stonescaping work was designing patios, walkways, and driveways. I still find it gratifying work to create intricate courtyards and passages where the stones tell a story or create an image.

We design our dry stone projects for your home to fulfill a function with an eye to maintaining the relationship of stone with other natural elements such as sunlight, water, flora and, yes, even, snow. The presence of natural stone keeps us in touch with the natural world that is often overtaken in dense urban settings.
